WK2 Leadership Post: Where Do I Want To Share My Project

I really had a hard time trying to locate perfect journals for my action research paper. Most of the journals provided by Dr. Bedard were excellent for peer-reviewed articles but they didn’t catch my eye. Most were geared towards specifics in core curriculum or overall education in general. I wanted to locate some journals that focus on my area of expertise. I truly hope that the journals selected are approved.

Journal #1 Journal of Research in Music Education

This journal is comprised of various peer-reviewed articles that discuss all aspects of music education ranging from music pedagogy, history, and general music for all levels of abilities. It is built around research and how the research improves instruction in a music classroom. This journal would be a good fit for my action research paper.

Journal #2 Journal of Music, Technology & Education

This journal would fit perfectly with my action research paper. This journal discusses all aspects of technology in music education. My AR project discussed how technology in music would boost student motivation in learning to read music. It is the only journal that is specifically dedicated to feature educational values of technology in music.

Journal #3 Educational Technology Research and Development

This journal was listed on Dr. Bedards list. I chose this journal because it primarily focuses on research and development in educational technology. Even though that’s a broad area for peer-reviewed entries, this journal would provide a larger variety of research from different aspects. This journal also specifies that it accept papers that report outcomes of innovative approaches in applying technology to instructional development. That is exactly what my AR paper expresses.
